Mother nature surprised us with levels exceeding 3,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) at the end of June. South Main residents and professional kayakers Jed Selby, Katie Selby Urban and Dustin Urban have been taking advantage of the great water and working on their freestyle moves. Below are some shots from the river park as well as the 1.5 wave. Boating in the river park requires no driving for this crew. They simply suit up at home, throw their boats on their shoulders and walk a few minutes to the put-in. The 1.5 wave is an extremely fast green wave with a foam pile which forms upstream of Buena Vista on The Numbers section. Jed and Dustin got two days on the wave before the water got too low.
